SLG has interests in six properties in Times Square totaling more than four million square feet. In a statement, Jay-Z said, “New York is the epicenter of culture. SLG CEO Mark Holliday also shared more details about his company’s casino proposal. Caesars Palace Times Square, as it is to be called, will occupy eight floors of the 54-story tower between West 43d and 44th streets. The casino floors will also house restaurants and other entertainment attractions. Holliday estimated that the “boutique”-sized casino could take up about 76 acres of floor space. A new, approximately 800-room, five-star hotel will be built in the building above the casino. Holliday said he was “not yet ready” to address how The tower’s office tenants will be affected, including Paramount Global’s headquarters.
