This is in relation to a tax credit of 1,431 million pesos; however, the company Ricardo Salinas Pliego has a total of 13 tax credits that amount to 67 thousand 177 million 120 thousand pesos.

It should be noted that the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP), through the Tax Administration Service (SAT) has urged the businessman to pay, however, he has filed several appeals to avoid it.

According to the SCJN, He only agreed to analyze the specific case of the 1,431 million pesos.

It should be remembered that if the President Minister Norma Piña had not accepted the appeal, Elektra would have already exhausted all its options for challenges.

The appeal accepted by the President Minister Norma Piña was referred to Minister Yazmín Esquivel Mossa, who must propose a project regarding the claim of Elektra y Ricardo Salinas Pliego to be discussed and voted on.

The appeal is expected to be analyzed before the end of 2024 in the Second Chamber of the SCJN.

It should be noted that in this case the Legal Counsel of the Presidency of the Republic claimed resources for 35 billion pesos which, according to President AMLO, are frozen, as are two files that concern the businessman, described by the president as the “main fiscal debtor of Mexico.”
