The claymore mine was recovered at around 4 pm today in the Ambika Nagar area of ​​Velanai under the Kayts police division.

Based on information received by the Military Intelligence, the 51st Brigade of the Sri Lanka Army Jaffna Special Forces recovered and defused a claymore mine.

The army said the claymore mine had been recovered with the slogan “Killer Velvan” inscribed by the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) as Heroes’ Week begins today.
