It has been reported that Bandula Gunawardena is to be sworn in as the new Finance Minister to fill the vacancy of Ali Sabri.

Following the resignation of Finance Minister Ali Sabri, Bandula Gunawardena has been appointed to fill the vacancy.

Basil Rajapaksa was the finance minister before Ali Sabri and Ali Sabri was sworn in as the new finance minister following the resignation of all cabinet ministers yesterday.

Today, however, he is stepping down.
