Countries including the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia have announced their diplomatic boycott of the Beijing Winter Olympics.

The Winter Olympics will be held in the Chinese capital, Beijing, from February 4 to 20. Preparations for this are in full swing.
Meanwhile, the number of corona infections there has been increasing over the past few days. In China, 206 new cases of corona have been confirmed in the last 24 hours. Corona infection was confirmed in 140 people there the day before yesterday. Of the newly confirmed cases, 48 were foreigners and 158 were non-foreigners.
The number of corona victims in China so far has crossed one million with these new infections.
The death toll from the corona there so far stands at 4,636. In the last 24 hours, 76 people have recovered from corona damage and returned home.
In this context, the question has arisen as to whether the Beijing Winter Olympics will be held as planned due to the currently rapidly increasing corona infection in China.
