In 1994, the film “Nathamai” directed by KS Ravikumar and starring Sarathkumar was released and became a mass hit. Meena, Khushbu, Manorama, Sanghavi, Kaundamani and Senthil also acted in this along with Sarathkumar. The film turned out to be the most breakthrough film in Sarathkumar’s career.

In this situation, the director of the film, KS Ravikumar, has shared an interesting information about Khushbu’s role in the film.

Khushbu suddenly heard..

In other words, KS Ravikumar decided that actress Lakshmi can be cast in the role of Khushbu for the movie “Natamai”. One day, when he was driving to Lakshmi’s house to sign a contract, Telugu actor Rajendra Prasad asked him to see KS Ravikumar.

Therefore, Ravikumar saw Rajendra Prasad who was shooting in the Botanical Garden area and decided to go to Lakshmi’s house after that and asked the driver to turn the cab towards the Botanical Garden. Khushbu was also there during the shooting.

Seeing KS Ravikumar, Khushpu approached him and asked, “What sir, this side?” Ravikumar replied, “I was going to see Lakshmi. Rajendra Prasad sir had called. That’s why I came to see it on the way to go.”

“Why are you going to see Lakshmi?” Khushbu asked, to which KS Ravikumar said, “I will make a film called Natamainnu next. For that, I am going to ask him to act in a character.

Khushbu asked, “Why shouldn’t I do that character?” Ravikumar replied, “It’s a little older character.” To which Khushpu said, “I have played the role of an old man in Annamalai before.”

A hit song composed for Khushb

After that, KS Ravikumar instead of going to Lakshmi’s house went to the office of producer RB Chaudhary. There to tell him the matter, the producer also said yes. But that character was a very minor character. Khushbu’s performance has expanded the importance of the character. That’s how he added the song “Kottai Pakum” in it. It is significant that the song would not have existed without Khushbu.
