Is this the next prince? Tamil Nadu batsman hits six sixes off six balls

Crossing the line with six balls in an over is not easy. Only a handful of international players have achieved this feat.

But now the 15-year-old has shocked the cricketing world by crossing the line with six balls in an over. 15-year-old Krishna Pandey is the Tamil Nadu boy who hit sixes off every ball.

This guy’s bat is six in the Pondicherry T10 League. The player hit sixes in the ongoing match between the Patriots and the Royals in the ongoing Pondicherry T10 League.

The Royals, who batted first, won the toss and elected to bat. In reply, Krishna Pandey single-handedly patrolled the Patriots. Nitesh Kumar hit six sixes in the sixth over.

The Patriots lost three wickets in the fifth over. Later, Pandey hit an unbeaten 83 off 19 balls, including 12 sixes and two fours, at a strike rate of 436.80.

It seemed that Krishna Pandey would lead his team to victory until Aravindraj got him out. But the Patriots lost by four runs.

Despite losing the team, the 15-year-old has made the legendary list of Yuvraj Singh, Herschelle Gibbes, Ravi Shastri, Kieran Pollard and Sir Garfield Sobers.

Yuvraj Singh hit six sixes over Stuart Broad in the 2007 T20 World Cup. Kieron Pollard hit six sixes against Sri Lanka’s Akila Dhananjaya in a T20I match in March 2021.

In 2007, Herschel Gibbs became the first player in international cricket to hit six sixes in an over. His achievement was against the Netherlands.

Sir Garfield Sobers, a West Indies legend who played for Nottinghamshire against Glamorgan at the 1968 County Championships, was the first player to achieve this feat.

Former Indian all-rounder and head coach Ravi Shastri had scored 36 runs in an over for Mumbai against Baroda in domestic cricket. Shastri was in the commentary box as UV won six sixes.
