Chief Minister MK Stalin traveled to Trichy to witness the ongoing dredging work in the delta districts, including Thanjavur. Arriving at the airport, the Chief Minister was given an enthusiastic welcome to the sound of drum beats.

Speaking to reporters at the Trichy airport, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin said, “I have personally visited and inspected the water supply works in the delta districts for the last two days. I have undertaken this lightning fast tour for the benefit of the farmers.

‘Yield increase; I was saying 7 affirmative languages, including ‘Happy Farmers’. Those promises are expected to be fulfilled in a year. 647 works were carried out at a cost of Rs. 68 crore for a distance of 467 km at a cost of Rs. With this, last year, 4.90 lakh acres were cultivated with curry and 13 lakh acres with samba.

We plan to perform the same feat this year as well. Before the monsoon, 683 works have been completed at a cost of Rs 80 crore. Occupancies in water bodies were removed. Work started on the 23rd and will be completed by today. With this, the area under cultivation is expected to increase to 2.5 lakh acres in Kuruva and 13.05 lakh acres in Samba. Therefore, we will achieve a record yield this year as well. Summer crop cultivation will increase.

Through this, 3 lakh farmers will benefit. Rs. Chemical fertilizers including urea, DAP and potash worth Rs 47 crore will be provided to farmers with full subsidy.
Plows, including tractors, will be subsidized by 50 per cent. “

Responding to a question from reporters, Chief Minister Stalin said, “Inputs are being provided at 100 per cent subsidized prices only to the listed farmers through the Horticulture Department. We will consider providing them gradually to farmers on all fronts. Without violence, Tamil Nadu is a haven of peace, which is why more and more investors are flocking to Tamil Nadu.

Chief Minister MK Stalin continued, “Does Annamalai inform about DMK’s plans, activities and announcements in advance?” Stalin said, “Annamalai is doing politics with it. We (DMK) are doing good to the people.”

Finally “Is Udayanidhi the Minister?” Without answering the question, he left with a smile.

It is noteworthy that the DMK Youth Secretary and Chepauk-Tiruvallikeni MLA Udayanithi Stalin had issued a statement yesterday stating that no one should ask him for a ministerial post and cause moral embarrassment to the leadership.
