“To celebrate the DNA of the Inter Book Prize in this special year, France Inter wanted to offer the presidency of the jury to a “great reader”, one of the characteristics of Isabelle Huppert, in addition to being an immense artist”, writes public radio on its site.

The Inter Book Prize has the particularity of being awarded by a jury made up of 24 listeners from the station. The call for applications was launched following this announcement and will close on March 7. The names of the selected jurors and the ten selected works will be made public at the beginning of April. After two months of meetings and debates, their choice will be announced on Monday June 3.

During the 49th edition of the prize, chaired by David Foenkinos, it was the writer Mathieu Belezi who was rewarded, at the age of 70, for his novel Attaquer la terre et le soleil (ed. Le Tripode), in which he recounts the fate of a handful of settlers and soldiers caught in the hell of Algerian colonization.
