ISL | One country but two laws; Bangalore FC owner against not allowing spectators to enter ISL

by time news
Parth Jindal, team owner of Bengaluru FC, speaks out against the denial of spectators access to the ISL. On the one hand, allowing spectators access to cricket matches and on the other hand, barring spectators from football matches is not the right thing to do, Jindal said.

Jindal asks how two laws can exist in one country. Jindal asked how football could grow in the country if it was so close to football and bring back home-away matches in the ISL.

“Is there any reason to play cricket in front of galleries full of cricket matches and witness the empty gallery of football? If this is the case, how can football grow in India? Home – away based matches should be brought back considering the style of football matches.” Jindal tweeted.

Last season’s ISL was held in three stadiums in Goa in front of empty galleries due to the crisis caused by the Kovid epidemic. Although spectators were expected to return to the stadiums this season, ISL officials decided to hold the tournament without admitting spectators.

Jindal’s reaction, on the other hand, is that cricket matches do not have such a regulation, while the Kovid epidemic is cited as the reason for not allowing spectators to enter the ISL. Spectators are allowed to enter the India – New Zealand T20 series currently underway in India. Earlier, it was announced that spectators would be allowed to enter the venues of the series as per the Kovid protocol of the respective states, but the stadiums in Jaipur and Ranchi, where the first two matches were played, were packed with spectators. Only those who have received at least one dose of the vaccine are admitted to the stadiums. It was also stipulated that the RTPCR must issue a negative certificate 48 hours prior to the match.
