Islamic Cooperation condemns crimes committed by Israel against Palestine – AGP

Libreville, August 10, 2024 (AGP) – The Executive Committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), meeting in an ‍extraordinary‌ session in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, condemned the ongoing war crimes, aggression, and⁣ genocide committed by Israel in the Gaza Strip.

The OIC conclave, held in Jeddah, was the ‍latest opportunity for the ​organization to strongly condemn the crimes committed by the‌ illegal occupying power in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. Participants expressed deep concern over the ongoing conflict⁢ and called for an immediate cessation of Israeli⁤ aggression and the policy of abuse, starvation, and collective punishment against ​the Palestinian ​people.

The session also strongly condemned the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, former ‌Palestinian Prime Minister, and held Israel fully responsible for the heinous act. This act was seen as a ‌violation ⁣of the Charter of the United Nations.

The Jeddah session also called for‌ immediate and‌ effective intervention by⁤ the UN ⁣Security Council in its​ responsibilities to maintain international ⁢peace and security.

The meeting was attended by the President of the Higher ‌Council for⁢ Islamic Affairs of Gabon (CSAIG), Abdul Razzack Kabongo.
