ISPR warned about extortion-search in army identity

This information was informed in a press release sent by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Wednesday (August 21) afternoon.

According to ISPR, lately it has been observed that some self-interested individuals or groups are using the identity of Bangladesh Army to raid government offices, corporate offices, family residences, shopping malls and shops in civilian clothes and try to extort money through phone calls.

It is for your information that the Bangladesh Army does not conduct any operations without the presence of other law enforcement agencies (Police and RAB etc.) in civilian clothes. Therefore, ISPR requests the public to be careful not to be deceived.

The overall cooperation of the countrymen is absolutely desirable for the development of the overall law and order situation of the country.
