The Israeli Defense Ministry has signed a contract to purchase $340 million worth of ammunition from the Israeli company Elbit Systems. “The Director General of the Israeli Ministry of Defense, Eyal Zamir, signed an agreement on the supply of ammunition with Elbit Systems on July 31, 2024, for the amount of $340 million. As part of this deal, Elbit Systems will establish a new factory in Israel for the production of ammunition and equipment,” the statement said. “This purchase is part of the Defense Ministry’s strategy to ensure uninterrupted supply <...> during current and future operations” of the Israel Defense Forces, the press service noted.
