In the recent Iranian attack on Arbil in Iraqi Kurdistan, the Iranians claimed to have attacked a secret base of the Israeli institution.

Twelve ballistic missiles were fired at the site, causing heavy damage to the same building and even damage to the Kurdistan 24 television building.

Since the incident took place several days after Iran announced two of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards forces killed in an Israeli attack on the outskirts of Damascus in Syria, media reports claimed that the background to the Arbil attack was carried out in retaliation for their deaths.

However, it turns out that the Iranians suffered a very severe blow last month attributed to Israel. On February 14, six armed Israeli drones were launched from the heart of Iraqi Kurdistan, hitting a base belonging to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards near the western Iranian city of Karmansha.

In the same incident, the media in Iran did not report an attack but a fire that broke out at a military base. “On Monday morning, a fire broke out in a warehouse of oils and flammable materials at the Revolutionary Guards base in the Mahidasht area of Karmanshah district.” This was reported on the “News” website.

Iran’s Supreme Security Council was quick to report that there were no casualties and that firefighters took control of the blaze and put out the fire.

Following the attack by the Iranians, who claimed responsibility for firing the missiles at the Arbil building, a statement from the Revolutionary Guards had already admitted that the fire that occurred in February at the Revolutionary Guards base was caused as a result of an attack by Israeli UAVs. As a result of that Israeli aggression, Iran suffered casualties at the Karmanshah base. “The Iranian regulatory agencies and their security forces discovered that it was the headquarters that was attacked in Arbil that made the decisions and carried out the operation.” Written in a statement by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards after the attack on Arbil.

The Lebanese website Al-Miyadin, which is affiliated with Hezbollah and Iran, claims that the place that was attacked by Revolutionary Guards missiles in Arbil is the same place from which the UAVs attacked the military base in Karmansha.

As mentioned, Israel launched 6 UAVs towards the base of the Revolutionary Guards where unmanned aerial vehicles and large ammunition were stored. In the attack attributed to Israel, hundreds of Iranian UAVs were destroyed at the same base, and Iranian soldiers and officers were also killed there.

As for the secret base of the attacked institution, as stated in a statement by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, then it turns out that this is a mansion belonging to Buzz Karim, CEO of Car, the largest Kurdish oil company that owns refineries.
