“Hamas thought they would break us, but we will do it,” said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in his speech at the first meeting of the national unity government which was also attended by Benny Gantz, Gadi Eisekot, Chili Tropper, Gideon Saar and Yifat Shasha-Biton.

The meeting began with a minute’s silence “in memory of our brothers and sisters killed in the cold, our heroic fighters fallen in battle. We work full time as a team, with a united front. Our country delivers a message clear to the people, to the enemy and to the world”, added the prime minister.

“Our wonderful fighters at the front know that the country supports them. They understand the enormity of the task they have. They are ready to act at any moment, to exterminate the monsters with blood on their hands who have risen against us.”
