Israel is recording threats against it from all sides after the strike on Beirut, where one of the commanders of the armed units of the Shiite movement Hezbollah was liquidated, and is ready to give a tough response to any aggression.

As reported by Day.Az with reference to TASS, the Prime Minister of the Jewish state, Benjamin Netanyahu, announced this in a televised address to his fellow citizens.

“Citizens of Israel, difficult days lie ahead of us. Since the attack in Beirut, we have been hearing threats from many sides. We are prepared for any scenario, we will be united and we will resolutely confront any threat. Israel will exact a very high price for any aggression from any direction,” he said.

The head of government praised the actions of the Israeli military, who liquidated one of the key commanders of the Hezbollah military wing, Fuad Shokr, in the Lebanese capital, and warned that a similar fate could await other opponents of his country. “We have closed the account with Shokr and will settle accounts with everyone who attacks us, who tries to harm us, who tries to kill our citizens, who harms our country. His blood will be on his hands,” Netanyahu noted.

On the evening of July 30, the Israeli army reported that it had struck Beirut and later confirmed that Shokr had been killed in the targeted operation. According to the Israeli military, he was the right-hand man of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and was responsible for strategic issues in the movement’s military organization, including missile weapons. According to Israel, Shokr was responsible for the missile attack on the Golan Heights town of Majdal Shams, where 12 children were killed. Hezbollah representatives had previously denied any involvement in the attack.
