This Sunday the Israeli Army launched a series of preemptive attacks in Lebanese territory against “terrorist targets” that threatened the integrity of Israeli territory.
This is a preemptive strike against several cells of Hezbollah found in southern Lebanon and according to the Israeli Defense Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, several of the terrorist group’s missile launchers had to be neutralized as soon as possible as it was an act of “legitimate defense.”

Meanwhile, the Lebanese Ministry of Health confirmed that three people have been killed in the Israeli attack in the southern city of Khiam and others have been injured, including a Syrian citizen.
Hezbollah later claimed to have launched nearly 200 rockets from Lebanon towards Israeli military targets such as retaliation for the killing of Fuad Shukr, one of its senior commanders in Beirut last month. Sunday’s attack marks an escalation of tensions in the Middle East.
The Israel Defense Forces said 100 aircraft had neutralized the rocket launchers, calling the preemptive strike a success, while the Muslim group condemned the military operation and announced that there would be retaliation, considering the attack unjustified.
The Israeli government has taken several preventive measures following the attack, declaring a 48-hour state of emergency for the civilian population as part of its precautionary protocols in case of hostilities. At the same time, Israeli Foreign Minister Yisrael Katz assures that his country does not seek to start a war in the region.
