“Volunteers of Galil-Carmel Rescue Unit Save Hiker in Urgent Medical Rescue Operation”
The volunteers of the “Galil-Carmel” rescue unit of the Israel Police were called in the middle of their holiday meal on a mission described as “a very urgent medical rescue” in the Nahal Yagur area of the Carmel Reserve.
The initial information received was about a 26-year-old man from Kiryat Tivon who had fallen from a six-meter cliff while hiking with friends. Due to the fall from a significant height, there was concern about potential head injuries, internal bleeding, as well as back and limb injuries. To ensure prompt medical assistance, an Air Force helicopter was dispatched to the area.
