Israel will develop and begin producing its own heavy bombs for its air force in order to overcome supply delays and ensure independence in critical munitions.

According to her information, a decision has been made to develop and produce heavy bombs for the Israeli Air Force, including those similar to the American 907 kg bombs, the delivery of which was suspended for several months “on instructions from the White House.”
The development of new Israeli bombs and the start of their production are expected to take two to three years, the newspaper said, citing sources that the US authorities “have not yet agreed to supply heavy bombs,” but “the problem is close to being resolved.”
In addition, Israel Hayom reports that there are plans to increase the production of tanks and armored personnel carriers in Israel. The newspaper also reports that the Israeli military is awaiting approval from a ministerial committee to purchase a squadron of F-15s from the United States and new ships for the Israeli Navy.
In early May, CNN reported, citing an official in the US administration, that US authorities had suspended the delivery of 3,500 aerial bombs to Israel amid concerns that they could be used during a military operation in the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip. According to the report, this affected the delivery of 1,800 bombs weighing 2,000 pounds, as well as 1,700 bombs weighing 500 pounds (about 227 kg).
It should be noted that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) was recently put on high alert due to rumors of a possible imminent strike from Iran.
