Watan Al-Youm: On Thursday, Israel rejected a visit request from the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Türk, amid growing concern about the escalation of violence in its war with Hamas.
According to Euronews, the Israeli mission to the United Nations in Geneva told Agence France-Presse in response to a question about Turk’s request to be allowed to visit Israel, “Israel is not aware of any additional benefit to the High Commissioner’s visit currently.”
