Adviser to the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Dmitry Gendelman stated that the Palestinian radical movement Hamas refuses to participate in the next round of negotiations on the Gaza Strip and is preventing a deal between the parties, Day.Az reports with reference to TASS.

“Hamas’s statements about its refusal to participate in the negotiations show the whole world who is preventing the speedy return of the hostages and attempts to achieve a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip,” he said.

According to him, Israel is ready to participate in the negotiations, but the location for them has not yet been approved.

Earlier, the spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Anna Ukolova stated that the Israeli military is on full combat alert and continues active operations on all borders.

According to her, the Israeli military is monitoring the situation in the Middle East, primarily the actions of Iran and the Lebanese Shiite movement Hezbollah, and is ready to act depending on the operational situation.
