The hacker group “Anonymous Sudan” has been particularly active in recent attacks on Israel and published a list of targets, including the aforementioned banks and the Israel Post website. The national cyber system confirmed the attack and asserted that the banks’ websites remained available and live thanks to their advanced security measures. Several other institutions in Israel have also experienced cyber attacks this month, including the largest universities, hospitals, and the Cyber Checkpoint company. Additionally, a cyber attack targeted the Israel Post, and an attempt was made to damage the irrigation system in the Galilee.

The national cyber system clarified after the first attack that “attempts to carry out a load attack on the websites of banks in Israel were detected and stopped. Thanks to the banks’ strong defenses, except for occasional interruptions, the websites continue to be available and live. The attempts are limited to the marketing websites and are not related to the banks’ internal systems.”
