Police Unit 747 of the Israel Defense Forces area has now arrested for investigation, at the end of an undercover operation at the airport, in accordance with targeted information from a special intelligence unit in the MGB, three suspects in their 20s, upon landing in Israel from the Netherlands, with hundreds of different and rare reptiles in their luggage, which They allegedly tried to smuggle them into Israel.

In the meantime, the detectives of the special detective unit monitored the suspects, from the landing stage, through passport control to the luggage collection stage, when during the search they discovered rare reptiles that had been hidden in them, including turtles, snakes and lizards.
As mentioned, the suspects were arrested for questioning, along with confiscating the reptiles and transferring them to the dedicated care of the Nature and Parks Authority.
