The women’s goalball team beat the Canadian team 2:4 today (Friday), and won the bronze medal at the World Championship, which is being held in Portugal. Lihya Ben David came into the game injured, but scored three goals and was chosen as the outstanding player of the match.

Raz Shoham’s players lost in the semi-finals to Turkey with a score of 4:2 after defeating a number of teams during the tournament including Brazil, Japan and Turkey and recorded a great tournament for them, after less than a month ago they won the European Championship tournament and moved up to Tier A.
