(24 News) Spokesperson of the Foreign Office, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, has said that Israeli actions have endangered regional security.
In a weekly briefing in Islamabad, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said that Pakistan strongly condemns Israeli aggression in the region and the attack on Lebanon. Israeli aggression will strengthen the war in the region. And there is a grave violation of territorial integrity, the people of Pakistan stand side by side with Lebanon.
He said that the killing of Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran is sabotaging peace efforts in an already unstable region, Israeli actions have endangered regional security, and since October 2023, Israel has started a campaign of terrorism against the Palestinian people. The United Nations must stop the genocide of the people of Gaza. Spokesperson of the Foreign Office said that Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar visited Tehran on Tuesday.
Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said that in the ceremony, Ishaq Dar congratulated Iranian President Masoud Piz Shakian on behalf of the government and people of Pakistan. The Deputy Prime Minister expressed his determination to promote relations with the new Iranian administration. Commonwealth Secretary General Patricia met Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, the parties discussed the areas of cooperation between the two Commonwealths.
The spokesperson of the Foreign Office further said that Foreign Secretary Muhammad Cyrus Sajjad Qazi led the Pakistani delegation in the ministerial meeting of the ASEAN Regional Forum.
Secretary Kharia reiterated Pakistan’s determination for regional peace, security and cooperation, emphasized on resolving the Kashmir issue in the forum according to the resolutions of the Security Council, while also appreciated the role of ASEAN for regional unity and peace.
