Israeli army says it recovered body of French-Israeli hostage

The Israeli Army said this Friday (15) that it recovered the body of French-Israeli hostage Elya Toledano, kidnapped by the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas in the October 7 attacks on Israeli soil.

“During an operation in Gaza, the body of hostage Elya Toledano (28) was recovered by Army special forces and taken back to Israel,” the Army said in a statement, adding that it was identified by forensic experts.

Elya Toledano, 28, was among around 240 kidnapped by Hamas fighters during the unprecedented attacks on Israel.
