/ Israeli media reported on Monday that members of the Knesset and their families received threatening messages from a group calling itself the “Israeli Avengers.”

According to the Times of Israel, Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana said he had “asked the Shin Bet to investigate reports from several members of the government that they and their families had received threatening letters in the mail from a little-known organization calling itself the Israeli Avengers, in which they were told that they and their loved ones would be harmed in revenge for the failure that led to the October 7 Hamas massacre in southern Israel.”

The newspaper added that “among those who were said to have received the threatening letter were Likud MK Tali Gottlieb, the sister of Likud MK Moshe Saadeh and the mother of Otzma Yehudit MK Yitzhak Wasserlauf.”

Gottlieb shared a photo of the letter she claimed to have received in the mail, writing on X that “if a leftist received the letter delivered with my personal mail, they would have a security guard stationed at their door.”

According to The Times of Israel, the contents of the messages appear to vary slightly from person to person, but they contain the same basic message: “a threat to harm a family member in revenge on October 7.”

The newspaper added, “One of the messages shared on social media read: ‘We will locate a member of your family who we can harm without being discovered.'”

She continued: “We believe that the blame for the events of October 7 lies largely with the October 6 coalition, of which almost no one was harmed on a personal or family level by this war. The attack on you is a just price that every Knesset member pays personally.”

The anonymous group claims to have taken revenge on what it called “family members of Palestinian terrorists” for the October 7 terror attack, but is now ready to advance its plans in the Jewish sector, the newspaper reported.
