Israeli Bombing Targets Indonesian Hospital in Gaza, Hundreds Evacuated

The Ministry of Health in Gaza has reported that an Israeli bombing targeted the Indonesian hospital in Beit Lahia, north of the Strip, on Monday. As a result, about 100 patients were evacuated in coordination with the International Committee of the Red Cross. The ministry’s spokesman, Doctor Ashraf Al-Qudra, stated that there are still 500 patients in the hospital and efforts are being made to evacuate them to Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip. Another hundred patients are expected to be evacuated at night and will be distributed to different hospitals in the south.

Fears have escalated in the region, with concerns of a repeat of the events that occurred at the Al-Shifa Medical Complex. The Indonesian hospital is reportedly surrounded by the Israeli army, putting the lives of both patients and medical staff at risk. Reports indicate that people attempting to flee the hospital during the bombing were targeted.

When Al-Hurra TV reached out to the Israeli army for comment on the siege and bombing of the hospital, no response was received.

In related news, the president of the International Committee of the Red Cross, Mirjana Spolijaric, met with the leader of the Hamas movement, Ismail Haniyeh, in Qatar, to discuss humanitarian issues related to the conflict. The committee emphasized that the meeting did not pertain to negotiations for the release of hostages held by Hamas. The United States includes Hamas on its list of terrorist organizations.

The details of the Israeli bombing and its impact on the Indonesian hospital in Gaza have raised concerns about the safety and well-being of civilians in the region. As the conflict continues, efforts to protect the lives of those affected by the violence are ongoing.]
