“Israeli Hostage Mia Schem Describes Horror Faced in Gaza During Ceasefire”

Mia Schem, a 21-year-old Israeli-French tattoo artist, has spoken out about the “holocaust” she endured during the 54 days she was held captive in Gaza. Schem was taken hostage during the October 7 attack on Israel by Palestinian militant group Hamas and was released during the ceasefire.

In an interview with Channel 13 journalist Lior Veroslavski, Schem expressed the importance of relaying the truth about the people in Gaza and her experiences there. “Everyone over there is a terrorist,” she said.

Schem revealed that she was held by a civilian family in Gaza after being abducted from the Nova music festival. A disturbing video surfaced days after her abduction, showing her pleading for help and medical care for a wound on her arm, reportedly released by the terrorists.

In the video, Schem pleaded to be brought back home to her parents and siblings, stating that she had a three-hour surgery in Gaza. Despite the ordeal, she remains determined, sharing a photo on Instagram with a tattoo reading “We will dance again,” accompanied by the date “7.10.2025,” and expressing determination to overcome the pain and fear she experienced.

Schem’s harrowing experience sheds light on the brutal reality faced by hostages in conflict zones and the impact it has on their mental and physical well-being. As she continues to recover from her traumatic ordeal, her bravery in sharing her story serves as a reminder of the resilience of the human spirit in the face of adversity.
