Israeli Health Minister cancels directive allowing hospitalization of residents from Gaza and Lebanon

by time news

Last night (Thursday) it was announced that the Ministry of Health officially contacted all the hospitals in Israel and demanded that they allow the hospitalization of residents of Gaza and Lebanon who were injured in the war. This morning, Health Minister Uriel Bosso directed the director general of the ministry, Moshe Bar Siman Tov, to cancel the directive, which was sent without his approval.

The message was sent without the approval of the Minister of Health

Minister Bosso noted that there has been no change in his clear policy of not allowing terrorists and residents of Gaza and Lebanon to be admitted to hospitals in Israel. He added that the letter delivered yesterday at the request of the security system to the hospital administrators was written without his knowledge and without his approval, and announced that the procedure is canceled immediately. He also added that any request to change policy will only be considered after a professional and serious discussion in his office with the professional and security officials.

We will recall that in a message sent from the medical division of the Ministry of Health last night, it was stated that the wounded from Gaza and Lebanon “are being evacuated for humanitarian reasons and in accordance with political and military considerations. All hospitals are required to partner in the mission in relation to the combat sector.”
