1. Rabin Square Bakeries
Is there anything better than starting the day at a bakery? We order a coffee and a sandwich and some kind of pie that’s pretty much on the way, before we get into the madness of work and who knows when we’ll even put anything in the mouth until this evening. We greatly appreciate Ruthie Brodu, she is an inspiration to us and our ambition is to meet the high standards she set in the local market – of desserts, in general.

2. Studio
Asian cuisine in the heart of the neighborhood, one that can comfort you on crazy days when you don’t have time to cook. Sometimes we get to go down and grab something with the kids in quality time around the round table on the balcony overlooking the neighborhood. It’s a bit surreal to see such a world around us, but these are our lives.

3. Ernesto
When I (Raphael) want my pasta dish for lunch, I pop into Ben Yehuda to the old Ernesto restaurant, a typical trattoria in the middle of the city. I order from the chef 200 grams of pasta just the way I like it – putanska al dente, a little spicy. We chat in Italian until the short espresso and cigarette, then back to work around the clock.

4. Mitvar Next Generation
A small and intimate pub of the brothers Shai and Sharon Shlomi, adjacent to Mitvar restaurant on Shed Chen, right behind the Sicilian on Ibn Gvirol. A fun place to sit and drink a glass of wine when you want to disconnect a bit from the city without stopping.

5. The magician
There isn’t a month that we don’t have guests from abroad for work or family. For them it’s discovering a wonderful world of Middle Eastern flavors and a memory of wonderful street food, for us it’s pride in the authentic Israeli food that Tel Aviv has to offer, and we find ourselves getting dirty with flour while being extremely enthusiastic From the foreign guests who indulge in juicy pita.
