Title: Gantz Surges to Record 52% Approval in New Poll, Majority of Israelis Support Humanitarian Ceasefire

A recent survey conducted by “Lazar Researches” and Panel4All, in collaboration with Maariv SufaShakuv, has revealed a surge in approval for Defense Minister Benny Gantz, reaching a record figure of 52% on the question of suitability for the prime ministership. This marks a significant increase compared to only 26% for Prime Minister Netanyahu.

The survey also highlighted a continued erosion of support for Netanyahu among Likud voters in the 2022 elections, with only 53% choosing him, compared to 24% who see Gantz as more suitable for the position of Prime Minister.

In addition to the political landscape, the survey examined the percentage of Israelis who support a humanitarian ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. The results showed that the majority of respondents (59%) conditionally support such a ceasefire, with the main condition being the return of all or at least some of the abductees. On the other hand, 30% oppose it regardless of the abductees, while only 3% call for an unconditional ceasefire and 8% have no position on the matter.

The full results of the survey, which also includes the latest mandate picture, will be published in full tomorrow in Maariv SufaShakuv. This survey comes in the aftermath of Prime Minister Netanyahu’s controversial statement regarding the connection between the refusal and Sinwar’s motivation, and the sharp reaction from his partner in the limited war cabinet, Minister Gantz. These developments have sparked heated debates and discussions across the country.
