Investing.com – Shares in Israel closed lower at the end of trading on Tuesday, when price decreases were recorded in the , and , sectors, pulling the indexes down.

At the close of trading in Tel Aviv, the index ended with a decrease of 0.82%.

Among the leading shares in the index today, the share of New-Med Energy – Limited Partnership (TASE:) stood out, which added 36.68% or 267.80 points to its value, and its price was 998.00 at the close of trading. At the same time, the share of Delek Group (TASE:) completed an increase of 17.13% or 5,840.00 points, and closed at a price of 39,940.00, while the share of Energian (TASE:) added 7.22% or 388.00 points, to a price of 5,759.00 at the end of the trading day.

The worst performance was recorded by the Nova share (TASE:), which closed down 6.43% or 2,380.00 points, and traded at a price of 34,660.00 at the end of the trading day. The share of Harel Investments (TASE:) shed 5.09% or 162.00 points to a price of 3,018.00, and the share of Phoenix (TASE:) closed down 4.58% or 177.00 points with a price of 3,688.00.

The number of declining shares exceeded the number of shares that closed higher in trading on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange with 229 versus 220 respectively, with 40 remaining unchanged.

The contract on crude oil futures for May delivery added 1.25% or 0.91 to settle at $73.72 a barrel. And more in commodity trading – Brent oil futures for delivery in June completed an increase of 0.98% or 0.76 and reached a price of $78.52 per barrel, while the June contract for gold futures recorded an increase of 0.77% or 15.15 points, and closed at a price of $1,986.65 per ounce.

The pair USD/ILS lost 0.79% and traded at a price of 3.55, while the pair EUR/ILS completed a decrease of 0.45% and reached the level of 3.85.

The futures contracts on the US dollar index traded down 0.36% and settled at 102.15.
