In light of growing concerns about a possible Iranian attack, shoppers are beginning to storm grocery store chains across Israel.

Many residents head to stores to stock up on essential goods, focusing on purchasing water and canned goods, fearing a possible military clash.

In branches of large supermarkets there are long queues, and product shelves are quickly emptied. Branch managers have seen a significant increase in sales over the past few days, especially for staple products with long shelf life.

Tel Aviv resident Eti Halevi says:

“People don’t want to stay at home without supplies. I’ve already made sure to buy drinks and canned food at the supermarket near my house for at least the next two weeks. It’s better to prepare for any possible scenario.”

Food suppliers have also taken appropriate preparations. Importers report an increase in orders from retail chains, and logistics centers are receiving more and more food shipments. However, industry sources say there is no shortage of products and the public can remain calm.

We previously wrote about the words of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who said that Israel would “get a slap in the face” after an airstrike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus killed seven terrorists, including two generals.

Kursor also reported that the Israel Defense Forces prohibited soldiers from leaving the location of their units amid threats from Tehran.
