For its part, the newspaper “lerepublicainsn” underlines that this position “constitutes the continuity of the dynamic very favorable to the Moroccan national cause created thanks to the Royal Vision, in recent years”, citing in particular the American recognition, the support for autonomy by more than 15 European countries, including Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, as well as the opening of 28 consulates of African, Arab and Latin American countries in the southern provinces.
Furthermore, the Senegalese Press Agency (APS) reports that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu informed HM King Mohammed VI of the decision of the State of Israel to recognize Morocco’s sovereignty over its Sahara.
The APS reports that this position of the State of Israel on the question of the Moroccan Sahara was notified to HM the King through a letter from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
