The Israeli military has launched a strike on southern Lebanon in response to an attempt to shell northern areas of the Jewish state. This was reported by the army press service, Day.Az reports with reference to TASS.

According to her information, the military spotted a radical from the armed formations of the Shiite movement Hezbollah trying to launch rockets in the direction of the village of Arab al-Aramshe in northern Israel. The attempt was unsuccessful, the shells did not reach Israeli territory, the army noted.

Shortly after, the location of the radical who launched the missile from the Wadi Hamoul region in southern Lebanon was established, and the Israeli Air Force quickly struck him, the press service reported.

Elsewhere in the north of the country, several attacks from Lebanon have been reported in recent hours, with most of the shells landing in uninhabited areas. There were no reports of casualties. Israeli artillery opened fire on the sources of the attacks.
