The Institute of Security and Social Services of State Workers (Issste) reaffirmed its commitment to strengthen and consolidate, with the personnel and the right, the culture of human rights, equality, non-discrimination, and inclusion. To do so, it promotes awareness-raising actions that make it possible to combat and eradicate all types of violence, marginalization and exclusion.

The Strategic Directorate of Information, Supervision and Evaluation, through the ombudsperson figure, gave a talk aimed at the general public to promote a culture of respect and human rights without discrimination based on sexual orientation.

There is no place for discrimination within Medicine

The specialist attached to the Headquarters of Human Rights Services and Social Participation of the Sub-directorate of Attention to the Beneficiary and in charge of giving this conference, Angie Rueda Castillo, addressed issues of sexual orientation, denial of fundamental rights and freedoms, violence against people, groups and LGBTIQPA+ communities.

Education based on Human Rights

He stressed that this is the third time that this activity has been carried out. 470 people participated in virtual and face-to-face format in the Mátrix Móvil space of the “Vasconcelos” Library, of which 380 were women, 88 men and two others. It was aimed at working people, right holders and the general public.

The ISSSTE labor equality and non-discrimination policy, its Code of Conduct and the Code of Ethics for public servants of the federal government share among their fundamental guidelines the elimination of discriminatory behaviors and violence based on sexual orientation.
