In light of the recent tragedy caused by Hurricane Otis, the ISSSTE installed the “Ehécatl” mobile hospital in Acapulco in record time. This is a project that was also launched at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic to increase patient care. Given this situation, the ISSSTE moved a mobile hospital who was in the General Hospital “Dra. Matilde Montoya Lafragua” from Tláhuac, in Mexico City, and she placed it next to the Acapulco Convention Center to support the continuity of health services to the population of Guerrero.
Upon arrival, the installation and assembly work of the mobile hospital, with the purpose of putting it into operation as soon as possible. In this way, it is expected to have optimal areas and guarantee medical care to beneficiaries without having to travel to other states.

Characteristics of the ISSSTE mobile hospital installed in Acapulco

They will be installed on a flat piece of land measuring 1,200 meters and connected to the hydrosanitary network.

This infrastructure is added to the actions to strengthen care for beneficiaries and the population of Acapulco, which include the sending of two brigades of resident medical personnel to strengthen care at the Chilpancingo Hospital Clinic.
