Some leaks inside the operating rooms of an ISSSTE hospital have caused outrage in the health union.
Although too much is required of medical personnel, they are often not supported enough.
Recently, 27 CDMX public hospitals led a peaceful demonstration due to the lack of supplies.
Complaints are constantly made about the level of medical facilities in our country. Especially within the public sphere there are several deficiencies that can be observed in hospitals and clinics. The most recent case is carried out by the Institute of Security and Social Services for State Workers (ISSSTE) and some leaks inside the operating rooms.
In the first instance, medical personnel are always pushed too hard to provide adequate care to their patients. Even the training is greater than other careers because it not only covers the university but also one year of internship and another of social service.
While at the end of the Bachelor’s degree, constant training must prevail. The preparation never ends because there must be a Periodic recertification to demonstrate that the doctor has up-to-date knowledge.
Now, one of the problems is that doctors don’t always get the support they need. To carry out their tasks, the minimum they require are sufficient inputs and decent facilities. It is something quite simple but in many cases they do not obtain it.

That said, now is the time to talk about a situation that was reported on social networks by the journalist Lourdes Mendoza. This is a video recorded on the Hospital Clinic “Dr. Roberto Nettel Flores” from ISSSTE in Chiapas.
What is observed is a group of surgeons in the middle of an operation, although what is most worrying is the condition in which they must carry out their work. Inside the operating room there is a leak that affects both the workers and the patient.

On the one hand, the elements demonstrate their commitment by complying with the intervention despite the circumstances. This shows the responsibility they have with their profession so as not to leave patients helpless.
At the same time, what is causing concern is that these types of incidents should never occur in a hospital. It is outrageous that these serious failures are registered today.

Doctors protest lack of supplies
However, these failures are not exclusive to ISSSTE or Chiapas. Just a few days ago there was a demonstration in Mexico City.
Medical personnel from 27 hospitals in the country’s capital demonstrated peacefully. The main complaints were the lack of inputs that has intensified in recent months and the meager salaries they receive.
Among the affected units is the Balbuena General Hospital. Even its workers closed several surrounding streets and traffic chaos was generated for a few hours.
