“We are working with the entire Health sector in Acapulco in a coordinated manner, with the Mexican Navy, the Army, the National Guard, the municipal authorities and the government of Guerrero, because the priority is to provide medical care to whoever requires it. There are already 25 mobile units in the Health sector providing medical care.”

He instructed the Director of Administration, Almendra Ortiz Genis, to move to Acapulco to carry out the necessary procedures to exercise insurance against accidents, as well as begin the reconstruction of the municipality’s HG.

The general director of ISSSTE toured the facilities of the HG and the Family Medicine Unit (UMF) in Acapulco. He witnessed the damage that the facilities suffered. As an immediate measure, he requested to send more ambulances and medical personnel to Acapulco. Furthermore, given the lack of fuel, he informed the HG personnel that at the Naval Base the ambulances could fill with gasoline and diesel will also be supplied for the operation of the emergency plant and boilers of the medical unit.
