The debts of the municipalities with the Institute of Security and Social Services for State Workers (ISSSTE) has prevented union members from Mulegé and Comondú from accessing loans. The state leader of Union of Bureaucrats, Marco Antonio Cota Aguilarpointed out that this problem is not due to the debt of past administrations, but of the current ones, who are not up to date with the payments.
Once the million-dollar debt that the municipalities had inherited had been renegotiated, the workers hoped to have ISSSTE benefits again, and access mortgage loans and credits. However, this has not happened for the municipal employees of Mulegé and Comondú.
“The agreement (it seems to be, because we do not have the agreement; because we do not intervene; the agreement is a matter of the city councils, the government and the institution or the institute) was until 2021, but as usual, 2022 already to date, some payments have been missed,” he said.
The operating agencies of the drinking water, sewerage and sanitation system of La Paz and Loreto also had delays in the entirety of contributions in the last two years. Cota Aguilar emphasized that the union has exposed the problem to the city councils and the State Government, and that the solution must come from an agreement between the authorities and the ISSSTE.

And what will happen with all these issues?
