Based on Subsection 2 of Article 57 of the Regulations of the Law on Civil Protection, Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, the General Director of Civil Protection issued a warning through a Low Pressure system that will generate rain nationwide.
The General Directorate of the Threat Observatory of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (MARN), on August 20, 2023 at 6:15 p.m., which refers to an increase in rain and storms, starting this Tuesday, August 22. August.
“As of Tuesday the 22nd, a possible low pressure with 20% development potential in the next two to seven days, immersed in the ZCIT, will be located south of the Gulf of Fonseca, and during Wednesday the 23rd and Thursday the 24th, it will move towards the coast of our country,” the report stated.
In addition, regarding these conditions, the authorities that are part of the National Civil Protection System were urged to be ready to intervene in the event of any eventuality.
“The General Directorate of Civil Protection is continuously vigilant, executing measures for the prevention and mitigation of disasters,” said the Directorate of Civil Protection.
