A couple of weeks before the elections take place in the USA and responding to racist comments made by the Republican candidate Donald Trump and its “anti-immigrant” policy, artists of Latin origin launched the campaign “It was already there”.
Through a special video that portrays the risks of intolerance and the racism that exists against the Latino population In the American Union, various celebrities called to vote against these far-right ideologies.

The “It Was Already” campaign is supported by personalities such as Los Tigres del Norte, Paty Cantú, Río Roma, Paquita la del Barrio, Maná, Alejandro FernándezKate del Castillo, Alex Lora, Los Ángeles Azules, Genitallica, Ramón Ayala, María José, Ximena Sariñana, among many others.
“Immigrants are our family, our silence allows them to be attacked. Today, we raise our voices together to say that’s it,” reads one of the messages in the promotional video.
Jason Garner, ex CEO de Global Music de Live Nation and current manager of several artists who appear in the video, indicated that the dignity of Latin migrants “is not up for discussion.”

“Our industry needs to get on its feet because we would not exist without the immigrants who are being dragged through the mud by the Trump campaign.”
On their social networks, each of the artists belonging to this campaign shared the videodemanding an end to hate speech against migrants, in addition to remembering the celebration of the election on November 5.
