On Saturday, M.Balčiūnas presented the names that would work with him at the LKF – Valdemaras Chomičius, US-based specialist Donas Showalteris, former basketball player Saulius Kuzminskas, former coach and sports scientist Rūtenis Paulauskas, former basketball player Gintarė Petronytė, coach Tomas Purlys at the conference of the Regional Basketball League (RKL) on Saturday. and the previously mentioned D. Domarkas.
True, T. Purlys almost immediately denied that he agreed to work together with M. Balčiūnas after the slides showing M. Balčiūnas’ team appeared in the public space.
Monday afternoon 15min.lt journalist R. Pakėnas wrote that D. Domarkas should be D. Domarkas, the right-hand man of M. Balčiūnas, who would occupy the position of general secretary, but the basketball player himself and the executive director of LPAK did not definitively confirm or deny this and said that everything will become clear in the coming days.
D. Domarkas played in the National Basketball League (NKL) last season, where he defended the honor of Marijampole’s “Sūduvos-Mantinga” team.
We remind you that the LKF will host a conference in which M. Balčiūnas and other famous Lithuanian basketball names will participate. It will present the team of M. Balčiūnas, the vision for the upcoming term and a conversation/discussion on the improvement of Lithuanian basketball.
