In the doldrums of the beginning of the school year and its many and heavy expenses, especially taxes, good news is rare. However, there are indeed some this September. At least one, for retirees, that you should not miss. If all concerned have not received the information, it will arrive quickly in the mailboxes since the National Old Age Insurance Fund will send a written letter within a few days.
Almost a million people will receive this letter which will be sent on Monday September 16 by CNAV services. This will explain the technical announcements made in the media and the direct consequences for the finances of the people involved. Which should be welcomed with joy.
Indeed, the message sent will explain the pension reform process which took longer than expected to work: of an increase in certain pensions, expected for one year. He will now announce to 850,000 people that an additional payment of 600 euros, in total, will appear in their bank account from Thursday September 25.
It applies to retirees who have accumulated 120 quarters of contributions during their career and who do not receive more than 847.57 euros total of basic pension or more than 1352.23 euros total of basic summation and additional retirement. So these are the ones getting the least contribution. The latter is to increase from September 2023.
The promise of the last reform, the review of small pensions has not been fully implemented due to an administrative hiccup. The 600 euros you pay will therefore correspond to the marketing for the last 12 months. The letter will also explain that from the monthly payment in October, the amount received through benefits will increase, on average, by 50.94 euros.
