It does not work without compulsory vaccination

by time news

BerlinThese days you can only hold your head when it comes to vaccinations. In a Brandenburg home, 12 people die of corona infection and afterwards it turns out that only half of the nursing staff are vaccinated. That could be a bad isolated case, but it’s not. In Bad Doberan, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, 17 residents have just died, the vaccination rate among nursing staff: 25 percent. There are other examples in other federal states.

Honestly, there is no understanding whatsoever. And it doesn’t matter at all whether these outbreaks were actually caused by the employees working there. It should go without saying that employees in old people’s and nursing homes are vaccinated against Corona, say medical professionals and local politicians. But it is not. And that’s why there must finally be a compulsory vaccination for staff in such facilities.

We know that vaccination protection is waning – especially in the elderly – and that they are at an enormous risk of severe disease. It is clear how rapidly corona infections are spreading in homes. There is enough vaccine and so much knowledge. For example, that unvaccinated people can transmit a much higher viral load and that tests are only meaningful at the time of the test.

It is the greatest failure of politics in relation to Corona that a vaccination requirement for professionals in all medical facilities has not been established. Those who do not want to be vaccinated should not be able to work there. It is a scandal that politics is still rummaging around when the number of infections is rising rapidly.
