Madam Noor Jahan, popularly known as Malika Tarnam, was born on September 21, 1926 in a family of musicians in Kasur and started her film career at the age of nine and soon became a well-known child star.

Noor Jahan, who learned the secrets of music under the tutelage of Ustad Bige Ghulam Ali Khan, started singing and acting as a child. Not only Pakistan, but also the film industry of the subcontinent, he made four moons with his melodious voice and acting.

During the Indo-Pak war of 1965, Noor Jahan’s national songs raised the morale of the nation and the army. His voice echoed on the battlefield and became a symbol of patriotism.

Noor Jahan created the magic of his voice in more than 10 thousand songs, apart from acting and singing, Noor Jahan also had excellent services in the field of production and direction. His performances in films like Zeenat, Anarkali, Intizar and Mirza Sahiban are still memorable.
