A race to forget the one that Joan Mir has experienced at the Circuit de Barcelona – Catalunya, where the Spaniard finished in the last position in the Sprint Race. #36 is clear about his request and he hopes that Honda will soon find solutions to everything that prevents him from riding the way you would like.

In the press conference after the day on Saturday, the Spaniard showed his discomfort with today’s lousy performance, where “It has been the day in which I have had the worst feelings on a motorcycle in my life”. In this sense, he has not limited himself to exposing his bad feelings about the bike, and he has recognized that “It was a terrifying race and the damn thing is that I drove well”.

The rider from the Balearic Islands has hit bottom in a weekend where he is suffering especially with his motorcycle, and in which he does not understand his poor performance: “It is one thing to suffer and another is this, this is not acceptable. I am in a moment in which I believe that you have to understand things in the box, and look for solutions for tomorrow ”, assuring that he is increasingly uncomfortable with his bike, especially in acceleration “It is one thing to lose acceleration with other factories and another with the same bikes.”

The Repsol Honda Team man pointed out that the current electronics prevent all the problems that exist on a bike that fails in all areas from being seen: “Everything comes from a mechanical issue, the electronics often camouflage this by skipping the traction control, which turns off the motorcycle and you do not advance. The comments I give are of no use in this race.”

Mir’s request is clear and he only asks for solutions to all the problems he is having with the RC213V: “It’s a moment where I need answers, to understand what happened, because we all know how to accelerate on a straight. Then there are the braking and the entry into the curve, where we are strong, but what happened today in the race is unacceptable”.

“The only thing that makes me proud is that I managed to maintain a very constant pace throughout the race.”, commented #36, who stated that the problem is not his, although he warned that his patience is reaching its limit: “it means that I am focused, that I can do more. I tried to face this weekend with a positive attitude, but another thing is to be patient”.

Finally, he pointed out that his problems with the current bike prevent him from showing his potential, going so far as to question the role of the technicians in his box: “I can’t do what I want because I’m a pilot, I give my comments and I don’t know what the technicians do, it’s their job, to find a solution and understand what I need to express my talent. Each pilot has different qualities, but if I am not allowed to use mine, then the situation is critical.”, concluded Joan Mir.
