“When the government gives the green light for Turkish capital, an appropriate atmosphere is created, including, I do not rule out that in the future, legislative reforms will also be made under the name of facilitation of the activities of foreign investors or something similar, of course, with Turkish businessmen in mind first of all. , this is already a conversation of another level.
It’s one thing when there are rare cases, it’s another thing when everything is done by the state in Armenia to encourage Turkish businessmen.
Taking into account the policy of the current RA authorities towards Turkey and Azerbaijan, I believe that in case of a corresponding demand from Turkey, to establish a special regime for their capital, there will be no resistance in Armenia. I don’t even doubt that they will unanimously convince us that there is nothing better than this, that huge investments and high-paying jobs will be opened, first of all, for proud citizens,” said the civil technologist.
According to Vigen Hakobyan, meanwhile, the RA authorities should implement the opposite process. even if relations are established with neighbors, even more so with a neighbor who is hostile to you, you should make a serious analysis, calculating what pluses and minuses the opening of the Armenian-Turkish border can bring.
“Customs and tax legislation should be established to protect and, if necessary, to preserve the internal market,” said our interlocutor.
