According to the well-founded suspicion, on the evening of March 29, 2023, the alleged perpetrator noticed an unlocked car in Bakso. Sitting in the car, after a quick search, he found the victim’s file holder, which he took with him and continued his late walk. He noticed another open car, in which he also found the ignition key, so he could easily take the vehicle away. In the morning, the police identified the 20-year-old man from Csanytelek, who was arrested and brought to the Kistelek Police Station.
Criminal proceedings were initiated against him due to well-founded suspicions of theft and arbitrary taking of a vehicle. The Kistelek investigators have completed the investigation of the case, and the documents of the procedure have been sent to the prosecutor’s office.
The police draw the attention of vehicle owners:
– They always close the doors, roll up the windows, and turn on the alarm even if they got out a few minutes ago! After getting out, check that the vehicle is locked and that the alarm is armed!
– In addition to the alarm system, they can also use mechanical protection (steering wheel, pedal, gear lock).
– Do not leave bags, packages, mobile phones, GPS, other valuable technical items, personal documents, money, bank cards, documents in the passenger compartment of the vehicle (not even in the glove box)!
– The same is true for empty bags and clothes, as the perpetrators are able to break the window or pick the lock even for the smallest valuables!
– If you can afford it, use the guarded parking lots and safes! When parking in the evening, park in a lighted place if possible!
